The 4 challenges in the formulation of SOLEÁ
We are very excited! After a period of research and testing, we present to you SOLEÁ, our Advanced super antioxidant cream with high sun protection SPF30.
From day one, we decided to create a sunscreen that did much more than that: take care of your skin. all the signs of photoaging and which also respects the environment.
You asked a lot of us for a product like this and that's why we set ourselves four big challenges in terms of shape. We wanted to make sure that SOLEÁ was a unique, safe and long-lasting cream with an incredible texture so you can use it all year round.
We put all our heart (and mind) into it and we are proud to have a product that meets our expectations.
CHALLENGE 1: Secure Protection
Safety is one of Herbera's biggest commitments, and that's why we choose mineral filters without nanoparticles: zinc oxide and titanium dioxide. These act as a shield on the skin, protecting it from UVA and UVB rays.
Regarding the measurement of SPF, we have also gone further: according to the 2006 recommendations of the European Commission, in vitro tests are used to carry out these measurements. To this extent, our sunscreen has achieved SPF50. We also did an in vivo test, with which we obtained SPF30. With this we emphasize that In vitro tests are not sufficient to guarantee the degree of sun protection.
This is why we recommend Always use sunscreens that also certify their SPF with in vivo testinglike ours.
CHALLENGE 2: Advanced formulation
Incorporating antioxidants was essential to increase the effectiveness of our sunscreen. SOLEÁ contains two of the most powerful natural antioxidants: ferulic acid and astaxanthin.
These are ingredients that have been shown to increase sun protection and fight oxidative damage the two radiations UVA and UVB, as well as IR; blue light coming from the screens and pollution.
In addition, we add vegetable oils with a sun protection factor, such as carrot, sesame, raspberry, avocado and karanja. These oils, along with other botanical extracts such as gotu kola and magnolia, They offer calming and anti-aging properties.
The result is what we call antioxidant botanical technologywhich manages to stop all the signs of photoaging: wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, dryness and loss of volume.
CHALLENGE 3: Impeccable texture
We wanted SOLEÁ to be a delight for the senses. After many attempts, we succeeded a unique melting texture that leaves no white marks and spreads beautifully.
The application experience is as important as the protection itself: a light-touch sunscreen that absorbs quickly, leaving no residue, so you'll be encouraged to use it regularly. This is not easy if using non-nano filters: nano filters are much smaller, which means they disperse better and create emulsions that are easy to spread on the skin.
That's why we knew a light texture in a non-nano protector could make a difference and it took us a long time to get there.
It has a light tone that leaves no color once applied to the skin and helps prevent it from leaving the dreaded white mark. The result is hydrated and natural skin.
CHALLENGE 4: Environmentally friendly
Our commitment to the environment has been a fundamental pillar in the creation of SOLEÁ. We use biodegradable filters protect marine biodiversity, by avoiding coral bleaching and excluding endocrine disruptors which alter the hormonal metabolism of fish.
In addition, we have designed recyclable packaging, demonstrating our commitment to sustainable development and protecting the planet.
